Haha!! I'm in a good mood. :D
My list of things to do in 2006 are now looking like this:
Pass driving test - DONE... Today! :)
Start snowboarding again - Refresher lessons start next week!! Taking some friends with me! :)
Get a DSLR - still to do, but with a driving license, I am determined as I can finally get myself out and about to those landscapes :)

New year... what will it bring?

Each year always seems the same as the last, I've never understood why people get excited about NYE, or why everyone feels the need to wish you good luck and that your dreams will come true.
It just seems silly to say those types of things just because the date has changed - why not say 'good luck' on June 1st each year? or the 1st of every month, hoping it will be better than last month?
Simple answer to that is that things take time to change, so year in year out we wish everyone, even strangers on the street 'Happy New Year', as if those 3 simple words will make the world of difference to the coming year.

For the time being anything i do will be Photoshop / Bryce / 3D Cinema / vector work... simply because trying to take a decent photo with my Exilim is a nitemare. No control over shutter speed or aperture = good results once in a blue moon! Plus I don't drive and ultimately I'm aiming at doing landscapes and architecture photos - not much of that within walking distance.
Things I'm working on at the moment:
"Brooklyn Brixton Keyboard"
Mix cover for a future Simon C project. Will be in a similar style to "Mentalism", just got to see how crazy I can make it as 'random shit' was asked for in the brief. Title comes from one of Simon's tracks of the same name, fingers crossed cover will be just as mad as the title!!
"Chaos Theory" [experimental piece]
Being the geek I am things like this interest me a lot. The theory goes that even the smallest fluctuation in something's normal operation can cause devastating effects if repeated and magnified over and over.... a common analogy is that the beating of a butterfly's wings could in theory cause a massive hurricane at a later date.
"Body Rock" [experimental piece]
Inspired by a classic house track by Jomanda 'Make My Body Rock'... a well known hardhouse track used the vocal about a year or so back. Lyrics are:
I need a rhythm to put me in the mood,
I need a rhyme to make my body move.
I need someone to play me a song,
That'll make my body rock all night long.
Please mr DJ get heavy on the bass,
Gonna rock this party gonna rock this place.
I need someone to play me a song,
That'll make my body rock all night long
Think there's enough there to give you an insight in what I'm up to. The ideas are all there, the time and energy to do them are lacking right now... call it 'artist's block', hehe
